Ingredients
- 125g/4oz butter
- 55g/2oz caster sugar, plus extra to finish
- 150g/6oz plain flour
- 15g Mealworm Powder
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
Method
1. Heat the oven to 190c/ 170 fan/ Gas 5. | |
2. Beat the butter and sugar together until smooth | |
3. Sieve the flour into the butter mixture. | |
4. Stir in the mealworm flour. | |
5. Bring together with a wooden spoon or your hands until a crumbly dough is formed. | |
4. Turn out onto a work surface and very gently roll out until the dough is approx 1cm thick. | |
5. Cut into fingers or any other shape you want and place onto a lined baking tray. | |
6. Sprinkle with caster sugar and put in the fridge for 20mins. | |
7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 mins until a pale golden brown. | |
8. Leave to cool on a wire rack, then serve. |
